My name is Debbie Hornsby and we opened Something Olde Something New back in 2004. My husband and I came down on our honeymoon in 1978 and just stayed here. Our three sons grew up on Marco and have successful careers in Tampa as software engineers and architects and have blessed us with four grandsons.
During a successful career in selling luxury real estate on the Island, a client/friend purchased an amazingly furnished condominium. They wanted to furnish their new vacation home more their style and asked me to contact a consignment store that specialized in High End Furniture. Not even sure what she was talking about I started my research. Low and Behold within a year or so Something Olde Something New was opened.
There are many things about our business and the store that I love. Angella and Sandy have been with us for many years and are without a doubt the best. They both love their job and it shows. Our seasonal visitors come in every year specially to see them when the return. Most importantly we have fun. There are too many serious issues in life to stress over, furniture shouldn’t be one of them. Almost every day, Angella texts us that she declares it a fun day. It sets the tone and has become our motto.
